Who can turn the agreement into business?

WHO CAN BENEFIT

European manufacturers of machinery, equipment and industrial technology, and Brazilian importers and industrial buyers. Tariff advantages depend on eligible products, EU origin and the applicable reduction schedule.

HOW WE HELP

We identify buyers, distributors and technical partners, assess commercial fit and coordinate import-condition checks. We support the conversations, proposals and negotiations needed to develop the market.

Three workstreams. One market entry project.

01

Develop demand

Identify industrial users with relevant applications, approach decision-makers and qualify interest through direct conversations.

02

Build local partnerships

Find distributors, integrators and technical service companies; assess geographic coverage, installation, maintenance and spare-parts capabilities.

03

Advance opportunities

Coordinate meetings, technical questions, proposals and negotiations. Keep responsibilities, unresolved issues and next steps clear.

Import conditions: two different mechanisms.

Ex-Tarifário: who may qualify?

Companies investing in productive activities in Brazil may seek a temporary import-duty reduction for eligible new capital goods (BK) and IT/telecommunications goods (BIT) without equivalent domestic production capacity.

The European manufacturer benefits commercially by making its offer more competitive; being Italian or European does not itself confer entitlement. Eligibility concerns the equipment and the Brazilian import operation.

  • Check the NCM classification and whether an existing Ex precisely covers the equipment.
  • For a new application, technical documentation and a Brazilian investment project are required; approval is discretionary.
  • Exclusions include used goods, consumer goods, integrated systems and automotive parts under this regime.

The measure concerns import duty, not all import taxes. We help identify potential eligibility and coordinate specialist assessment.

From your equipment to a commercial opportunity.

Share your equipment specifications and your objectives in Brazil. We assess the commercial fit and work with you on the information and connections needed to advance.

  1. Product documentation review and preliminary NCM classification, with specialist validation where needed.
  2. Applicable tariff scenarios and a preliminary Ex-Tarifário eligibility screen.
  3. Research potential buyers and distributors using product fit, industrial application and source evidence; confirm their interest through direct dialogue.
  4. An initial requirements checklist, including NR-12 topics for technical assessment where applicable. This is not a conformity certificate.
  5. A recommended action plan: proceed, refine the offer or investigate remaining gaps before committing resources.

We support introductions and negotiations. Technical assessments and formal applications are coordinated with the appropriate professionals when needed.
